In
an article in the Lee's

the committee's chair, Annette Braam,
explained that the candidates that
are being endorsed by the group were
chosen after careful consideration
of many factors, including each candidate's
experience with city government and
their ability to work with many different
aspects of Lee's Summit government.
Citizen's
group members included Annette Braam
(chair), Gene Gamber (Treasurer),
Tony Jose (Secretary), Steve Braam,

Public
Safety - Key to our Quality of Life
We
often don't think about police or
fire protection until we need it.
But public safety is a key factor
in the quality of life in Lee's Summit
and our public safety infrastructure
deserves to be supported through sound
public policy and fiscal decision
making.
Through
my experience in various City commission
and committees, I know how important
it is to consider the impact of decisions
made by our city government on our
public safety network. During a recent
ride along with Officer Miller of
the Lee's Summit Police Department,
I learned first hand some of the challenges
that face our police and fire professionals
each and every day as they work to
protect the citizens of Lee's Summit.
As
your 2nd District City Council representative,
I will support our public safety network
to ensure it will have the resources
it needs to keep our citizens safe.

Greeting
voters at the polls
Tuesday, February
5th was an exciting day for me. I
would like to offer my thanks to all
of the committed campaign committee
members and my family who helped me
talk to voters at polls all over Lee's
Summit's 2nd District. While the weather
tried to dampen our efforts, we stuck
it out and were able to meet hundreds
of voters to tell them about my campaign.
I also want to thank
all of the Lee's Summit voters who
braved the cold and wet weather to
vote in the primary election. I appreciate
all the voters who took time to share
with me their concerns about issues
facing their neighborhoods and our
great city—issues that they
would like me to address as their
city councilman. Please continue your
involvement in our city's future by
voting on Tuesday, April 8th!
